This article describes the Policies and Guidelines for the I Want to Eat Your Pancreas Wiki and contains information set as the guidelines for the behaviour we expect from users on this wiki. These rules are subject to change without prior notice.
General Ruleset
- Do not vandalize articles. Doing so will almost always result in a block.
- If you see blatant vandalism that has not yet been reverted, please by all means feel free to revert it yourself; it isn't necessary for you to report to an admin unless it is a severe case or something you cannot revert yourself.
- Do not create pointless articles or upload unrelated images. If you wish to create any article at all, it may be preferable to consult an admin before doing so.
- Respect neutrality and do not jump into disputes between other users. If it doesn't concern you, do not get involved.
- Do not advertise other sites on this wiki. The only links we accept are ones to official sources relating to the series, and ones to the affiliated Discord server/Subreddit.
- Do not create articles containing fanon material, or edit non-canon information into existing articles. The content of this wiki should strictly be from the series' canon light novels, manga and movies.
- Do not start discourse with other users. If you disagree with something a user has done, calmly talk it out with them on their message wall.
- Do not use vulgar language such as slurs, curse words or other words and phrases that are generally considered rude on articles or in comments/on message walls. Users will likely face a block for this offence depending on the severity and context of what they say.
Article Etiquette
Language
- The content of this wiki must be expressed in English. This is an English language wiki and all edits are expected to be carried out in accordance to this.
- The sole exception is the use of Japanese related to titles of content such as names, titles, and any other piece of determining content in the series.
- The official website's translations are to be used for the English names of characters.
- In accordance with official translations, please do not write out long vowels in romanized names (ex. use 'Kyoko' instead of 'Kyouko' or 'Kyōko').
- Per the ruleset above, the use of profanity, slang, and euphemisms in articles is not permitted, unless it is used under the context of direct quotes from characters.
- Content should be written using a third-person perspective and in a factual and formal manner without opionated or biased statements.
- Articles must all be written in present tense for the purpose of consistency.
Images and Media
Acceptable Images | Unacceptable Images |

When you upload an image to this wiki, please provide the minimum necessary information:
- Descriptive Filename: Files should be named to outline key elements that occur in the image.
- If there is an image that has potential to be used but is improperly named, please state as such in the file's description.
- Licensing: The Fairuse template should be added to every image you upload that is from an official source. It can be added by selecting 'Fair use' in the dropdown licensing menu below where the file is renamed, or through manually editing it in by putting {{Fairuse}}.
- Categorization: After you upload a file, please add the appropriate categories via the button at the bottom of the page, or the tab on the right hand side of the Classic Editor screen. These categories should include which characters are in the image, and which chapter/episode you took the image from.
Consequences
If a user goes against the rules stated here, they will receive punishment for it. There isn't currently a set guideline as to exactly what punishment a user will receive due to the small size of this wiki, but it will most likely go as follows:
- First Offence: Warning or explanation in reversion edit summary.
- Second Offence: Message wall warning.
- Third Offence: 3 month block.
- Fourth Offence: Permanent block.
For severe cases, such as slur use or major vandalism, a user may be blocked immediately without receiving a warning beforehand. This will also be the case for users (usually trolls) who edit the wiki with no clear intention of following the rules from the beginning.
